The entire trip will last roughly 8/9 hours.
You are picked up near Your cruise/hotel by an English-speaking driver with his car (or Minivan) for the transfer to the ruins of Herculaneum. Once there, You'll meet Your private English-speaking guide for that interesting visit. The whole time spent on the site will be roughly 2 hours. With Your guide You'll explore an incredible place: the right angle crossed streets, the sewers, the development of the houses that in Herculaneum is more evident - because of the lack of space, they started building in height.
Some of the public baths will be visited with their fantastic decoration, the shops, the gymnasium, and accent will go on how Herculaneum was buried, that makes it altogether a different site from Pompeii, and has allowed the preservation of the skeletons too.
Then, by car (or van) You'll reach Naples (with Your English-speaking guide) for a sightseeing of the city. There, You'll have also free time (1 hour) to walk around and for lunch: a great idea would be to taste the Neapolitan pizza, symbol of the city.
After that, Your guide will show You the Archaeological Museum of Naples
