Tickets for the underground in Rome and the Circumvesuviana train from Naples to Sorrento are not included.

This budget tour to Rome does not take place on Sunday.

Most of the costs for a private guided tour in Rome from Sorrento (round trip) is certainly for transport. This is the reason why we have decided to arrange for this budget tour to Rome a public bus (very comfortable) to get to the Eternal City and a high-speed train for coming back to Sorrento. We shall organize everything for You: You’ll receive the train and bus tickets and any document and information You need as soon as You book this tour.

From Sorrento Your bus (shared with other passengers) will leave at 6:00 am from the little square in front of the Sorrento train station and the journey will lasts roughly 3 hours - a stop by a motel along the motorway is provided. As soon as You arrive to Tiburtina Station in Rome, when You get off from the bus, You’ll find Your private English-speaking guide and together You’ll take the underground of Rome for reaching the Vatican Museums - in Rome the subway runs approximately every 7-10 minutes, from 5:30am until 11.30pm every day and tickets can be purchased in newsstands, tobacconist’s, or vending machines. A great three-hour guided tour there will take place (Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica) and then Your guide will show You where the nearest access is for the underground for going on Your own to the area where the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona are: obviously this is just a suggestion, but You can visit any other monument of Rome You feel like. At a certain moment, You’ll take once again the underground on Your own for going back to the Tiburtina Station for taking Italo, the high-speed train for Naples (the journey lasts roughly 1:08 hours). When You arrive to Naples, in the same station, You can take the Circumvesuviana local train for Sorrento (approximately 1 hour of journey). It is very easy to move by the underground of Rome because there are few lines. In addition, we’ll give You in advance all the information You need about that. Anyway the taxi fares are very reasonable (10 or 12 € in total - fix with the taxi driver the price before getting on board) from the Trevi fountain area to Tiburtina Station for taking Italo high-speed train. The spectacular Vatican Museums are one of the largest and most spectacular museum complexes in the world. That is the reason why the queues are really long, above all in peak periods such as Christmas, Easter and during the spring: actually we provide you with no-line tickets. Anyway you can find crowd inside the Vatican Museums, and you need a good dose of patience, but it will undoubtedly be worth it.

The complex of the Vatican Museums encloses several museums: Pio Clementino Museum, Chiaramonti Museum, Gregorian Etruscan Museum, Gregorian Egyptian Museum, Museum Gregorian Profane, Pio Christian Museum, Ethnological Missionary Museum, Collection of Religious Modern Art, Superior Galleries, Museum of the Vatican Library and of course the incomparable Sistine Chapel.

To visit all of them, you need more than one day, but with comfortable clothing and your private English-speaking guide (just for you), you’ll maximize the time available.

N.B.: The last Sunday of each month, the Vatican Museums will be open and free.

THIS IS A TAILOR-MADE TOUR AND IT POSSIBLE TO ARRANGE IT IN ANY WAY YOU LIKE: FULL-DAY GUIDED TOUR, HALF-DAY GUIDED TOUR BUT IN ANOTHER AREA SUCH AS THE COLISEUM, THE IMPERIAL FORA, ETC.
